Effects of Transience
Personally, in the last five years, I’ve lived in three countries (USA, France, China), and six cities (Austin, Paris, Beijing, Chengde, New York, San Francisco). Seven cities, if you count that Las Vegas is where my family lives now and I’m back and forth between there.
In a month, it’ll be four countries (since Hong Kong isn’t officially part of the PRC until 2012), and nine cities (adding Hong Kong Island and Shanghai). Jeez.
